LIFT is proud to announce the launch of the new website for Elder Services. This vital organization supports moderate- to low-income seniors in Okaloosa County by offering a broad spectrum of social services for the elderly, from Meals on Wheels delivery, respite care, and assisted living communities. Through a dedicated network of social workers and care providers, Elder Services works closely with state and federal agencies to connect at-risk seniors with the resources they need to live healthier, more independent lives—at home and beyond.
Elder Services previously contracted with a Canadian website development agency for website design and hosting. While they provided a good service, the client determined that there was a real and intangible value in having a local partner who is invested in the same community their organization serves.
LIFT, a WiX "Legend Level" Agency Partner, saw a great opportunity to modernize their website by rebuilding it on the WiX platform, but more importantly, to make the website easier to use by generations who did not come of age during the information era.
Bill and Troy collaborated closely, reorganizing, reframing, and simplifying the site's content, and using well-established principals of design, layout, typography, and color theory to transform the site into a more useable resource that is easier to navigate and understand. We leveraged typography and contrast optimizations to improve readability with an older audience in mind.
Our client reports receiving very positive feedback. We're proud to contribute to our community in this small way and we thank Director Kim Fraley for her trust and confidence in us.
