The Underwater Museum of Art is the first permanent underwater sculpture garden in the U.S. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, off of Walton County, Florida. The museum lies at a depth of 58-feet and at a distance of .93-miles from the shore of Grayton Beach State Park. Each year, a juried selection of sculptural works, drawn from artists throughout the world, is installed in the underwater garden.
Fort Walton Beach website designers We Create LIFT developed the museum's inaugural website and were asked to develop a fresh new design that incorporates the lessons they've learned since opening the museum several years ago. Central to the new design would be an interactive, scalable, moving map which displays position of each work within the garden, shows photos of the work, and provides additional details.
Additionally, LIFT produced catalog photography of the current year's art installation as well as its deployment in the Gulf of Mexico.
